We had a great first week. The kids are learning fast and are already starting to gel. Here are some announcements and assignments that your kids should be working toward.
Announcements:
- Practice cards are due on Tuesday, September 6th with a parent signature
- The Color Run is officially kicked-off. Student participation forms (the yellow page in the collection envelope) is due on Wednesday, September 7th
- All other Color Run forms can be filled out online here. Order your Mooyah meal, make a donation, or sign-up a Clark friend to run all online.
- The fall school dance hosted by the band will be on September 9th. Tickets will be $5.
- The sectional schedule is now posted. Please talk with your child about when their time is. Morning sectionals begin at 7:20 AM and after school sectionals run until 4:40 PM. Attendance is mandatory.
Assignments:
- All Scales: concert F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, D, G, & C
- Chromatic Scales
- Work on mastery at 90% or better of the Fight Song, Hey Song, Louie Louie, Cupid Shuffle, Low Rider, & Cheerleader
- Begin working Carry On Wayward Son and Gonna Fly Now
- Each section has an assignment for each of the 4 all-region etudes that should be prepared for the next secitonal
